Nexon Computer Museum

Nexon Computer Museum

In 2013, NEXON Computer Museum(NCM) opened in Jeju Island, situated next to Halla Arboretum, to collect and share the rich history of computers and games with its local community. With approximately 7,000 valuable digital collections that have been taking the lead in technological transformation and development such as the ‘Apple I - the first personal computer’, 'Engelbart Mouse - the world's first computer mouse' and 'Pong - the world's first video game', visitors can watch and experience around 400 of major hardwares as well as 2,000 of softwares, books, and visual aids.
NCM also successfully restored the early version of 'the Kingdom of the Winds', the longest running commercial graphical MMORPG in the world released by Nexon in 1996, in an effort to a digital archiving project. Furthermore, the museum is actively running programs for local community and its children such as 'NCM Children Advisory', 'HAT(Humanities, Art & Design, and creative Technology)' including career educational programs for students who would want to pursue their careers in IT fields.
Last but not least, NCM is the first of its kind in Korea let alone in the Asia, and the number of accumulated visitors exceeds 1,000,000 as of July 2021.
